About
me.

Hi! my name is Maria and I develop my carrier as designer through the years in different areas of expertise.

Upon completing my Bachelor’s degree in Arts, I embarked on my journey as a Designer, where I channeled my creativity to produce captivating illustrations and printed graphics for various companies and purposes. My responsibilities involved designing brochures, manuals, books, and large formats such as signs and street advertising.

As I progressed in my career, I transitioned into a multimedia designer, where I expanded my skills by working with code and websites. This led me to become a UX Designer, where I honed my skills in creating user-friendly designs and focusing on interaction and strategy.

To gain a more profound understanding of Digital Product production, I also became a Frontend Developer, which has significantly expanded my skill set and allowed me to create more complex designs.

In summary, my journey as a Designer has been an exciting learning experience, and I am continually striving to improve my skills and learn new things.

User Centered Design & Design Thinking

As a UX/UI designer, my methodology shifts into gear under the catcher of User-Centered Design (UCD) and Design Thinking principles to create meaningful and user-centered solutions. UCD takes the forefront, since my approach to design keeps the end-users in the center of every single decision, ensuring that the design process is informed every single step of the way by the needs and behaviors and the wish of preferences of the end-user. This offers the opportunity to create interfaces that will work as they are supposed to while also resounding with the end user on an emotional plane. Other than that, I turn to design thinking processes in order to work through difficult problems with a level of creativity. By empathizing with users, defining problems, ideating innovative solutions, prototyping, and iteratively testing, I guarantee a wider and more user-centered design process, where insight may be gathered, collaboration fostered, and a solution found that could meet both user needs and business goals. The use of UCD methods and design thinking combines in a sort of magic undertaken to offer the richest sorts of palm in deliverables that carry not only functional aims but also delights and significance for users.
